# Authentication

> Authenticate the sqd CLI with SQD Cloud and run protected deployment commands.

Validate and store an SQD Cloud deployment key for commands such as `sqd deploy`, `sqd list`, and `sqd logs`.

## `sqd auth`

Authenticate the CLI with a key created in [SQD Cloud](https://cloud.sqd.dev/).

  $ sqd auth -k <value> [--interactive]

FLAGS
  -k, --key=<value>       (required) Cloud auth key
      --[no-]interactive  Disable interactive mode
```
