Portal billing is not live yet. The plans below are published ahead of
launch. Until billing starts, the public Portal keeps its current limits and
paid plans are available through early access. Every account gets 14 days’
notice before billing starts. Book an early-access
call.
Plans
- Public is the shared public Portal at
https://portal.sqd.dev. Use it to explore data, prototype, or give an AI agent onchain data. It works with curl or the SDKs on every chain, rate-limited. - Testing adds an API key, more backfill throughput, and about 1 GB of monthly data on one chain of your choice, for evaluating Portal before you buy.
- Starter covers one chain with 25 GB of monthly data at up to 5 MB/s, and email support. It fits a single-chain app or indexer with modest data needs.
- Growth covers up to five chains with 400 GB of monthly data at up to 20 MB/s, and priority support. It comes with a 30-day free trial at the normal Growth limits, with three chains of your choice.
- Enterprise adds uncapped data and throughput, dedicated infrastructure, and signed uptime and support response SLAs, at a custom price. It is required above five chains.
Included with every plan
- The same API, paths, and payloads, with the SDKs and the MCP server
- Decoded data for EVM, Solana, Bitcoin, Tron, Hyperliquid, and Substrate networks
- Real-time data on every chain that has it, streamed to the live head in one stream with no separate archive tier
- History back to genesis on most chains
- Unlimited team members
How usage is measured
- Max backfill throughput is the top speed at which Portal streams historical data to you. A speed boost raises it without changing plans.
- Monthly data is measured uncompressed, as the data lands in your process.
- A chain is one ecosystem, not one network or dataset. Ethereum is one chain and covers Ethereum mainnet, Sepolia, and Hoodi. BNB Chain is one chain and covers BNB Smart Chain and opBNB with their testnets. A chain’s dataset versions and data types are part of the chain.
If you run out of monthly data
Nothing shuts off and nothing is charged. Backfill throughput is rate-limited for the rest of the month and resets with the next one. Real-time access continues on chains that have it. To stay at full speed, add a data extension.Add-ons
A data extension adds full-speed data for the current month. A speed boost raises your max backfill throughput. Add-ons are opt-in: nothing is added to your plan or charged automatically.
Traces and state diffs are included with Public and Enterprise. On Starter and Growth they are an add-on for each chain. To integrate a new chain or custom VM, contact SQD.
Chain tiers
Every chain is in one of three tiers: Core, Partner, or Frontier. The tier sets the price of adding a chain on Growth beyond the three it includes. Starter includes one chain and cannot add more. Enterprise includes ten chains and has no maximum; additional chains are priced in the contract.
Growth can add up to two chains, for five in total. A tier applies to the whole chain, so a chain’s testnets, dataset versions, and data types share it. To see every network in a tier, filter the networks list: Core, Partner, or Frontier. Each network page also shows its tier.
Enterprise
Custom pricing on an annual contract, for teams that need more than five chains, sustained usage above 1 TB a month, broad Frontier coverage, trace-heavy or specialized replica datasets, large historical backfills, dedicated capacity, signed SLAs, or custom support. If your usage stays above 1 TB a month on a self-serve plan, the SQD team reviews the workload with you rather than changing your plan automatically. Enterprise includes:- Ten chains, with no maximum
- Uncapped backfill throughput and monthly data
- Traces and state diffs, and custom data formats
- Dedicated or static IP, a white-label endpoint, and multi-region deployment
- A custom uptime SLA
- A dedicated account manager, a support response SLA, and a dedicated Slack channel
- SQD 360 custom data solutions

Using your plan
Public is the shared public Portal. Testing and the paid plans send an API key asAuthorization: Bearer <key> or in the x-api-key header, with the same paths and payloads as the public Portal. See Presenting an API key for the error a missing or rejected key returns.
To run Portal on your own infrastructure instead, see Private Portal setup.
Prices on this page follow sqd.dev/pricing. If the
two differ, sqd.dev/pricing is current.
